On Wednesday, November 18, SA Premier Steven Marshall announced a six-day lockdown for South Australia.
This follows Monday's announcement that community sport fixtures and training would be cancelled for a two-week period, with the potential for extension.
Recreation centres were also among several locations forced to close and as a result, the Netball SA stadium at Mile End was closed until further notice.

In addition, the below is an overview of the restrictions that will be introduced across the state from midnight tonight, Wednesday, November 18:
CLOSURES
- Schools, except for children of essential workers
- Universities
- Child-care, except for children of essential workers
- Pubs
- Cafes
- Takeaway
- Restaurants
- Food courts
- Holiday home rentals
- Construction sector
- Aged care/residential homes
RESTRICTIONS
- South Australians must wear masks when leaving home during the six-day lockdown
- Sport/physical activity is not permitted
- Elective surgery except for urgent operations
- Interstate/regional travel
- Weddings
- Funerals
- Real estate open inspections
REMAINING OPEN
- Medical facilities, including mental health services
- Medical supplies/pharmaceuticals
- Supermarkets (one person per household can attend per day)
- Public transport
- Vet clinics
- Government (minimal operation)
In light of today’s announcement, Netball SA’s offices will also be closed along with reception.
