The Casual Development Officer role is responsible for delivering, and facilitating Sporting Schools programs, ensuring sessions are engaging, inclusive, and align with Netball SA’s development goals. The successful candidates will also assist in delivering key participation programs, including, NetSetGo, school holiday clinics, and other administrative support. This role is instrumental in engaging young participants, fostering their love for netball, and promoting the sport across South Australia.

This role will encourage best practice and increase participation in Netball in South Australia. This is a casual role to deliver Netball programs and provide administrative support for Netball SA members.

This role is responsible for supporting member associations and clubs to be vibrant growing hubs that are well equipped to attract and develop participants. Growth will be achieved through key national and state-based programs that develop the sport, drive participation, and grow revenue. The role requires an intense customer focus and the ability to build and foster relationships with members and key partners alike.

This role is responsible for providing excellent customer centric service and support to Netball SA’s affiliated associations. The role will provide support and guidance to members around governance, member protection, complaints, competition, and membership database assistance.

This role will encourage best practice and increase participation in Netball in South Australia. This role will be proactive and assist association with their plans and support with facility improvements.

Netball SA is the State Sporting Organisation responsible for the promotion and development of the sport of netball in South Australia. In addition to the provision of services and support to its 35 Affiliated Associations, 300 clubs and over 35,000 participants, Netball SA also manages the Adelaide Thunderbirds which is the South Australian team competing in the national Suncorp Super Netball League.

Four Board positions will become vacant at the AGM, which will be held on Wednesday 16th April with the incumbent Directors re-standing. Appointments are for a three-year term commencing in April 2025 and are on a voluntary basis.

Netball SA has a vacancy for an Independent Member of the Board Governance Committee. An official subcommittee of the Board, the purpose of the Committee is to assist the Board to discharge its responsibility to raise maturity levels against what has been identified as “best practice governance framework” from the Australian Sports Commission. 

Previous experience in general or sports governance is highly desirable. Appointments are for a two-year term commencing in February 2025 and are on a voluntary basis.

Netball SA has a vacancy for an Independent Member of the Adelaide Thunderbirds and Elite Pathways Committee. An official subcommittee of the Board, the purpose of the Committee is to provide support, counsel and guidance to the Adelaide Thunderbirds Coach and GM High Performance to ensure that there is a defined pathway for South Australian athletes to play at the highest level.

Previous experience as an administrator or athlete in high performance sport is highly desirable. Appointments are for a two-year term commencing in February 2025 and are on a voluntary basis.
