Cafe Coordinator - Netball SA Stadium

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative and experienced individual to take responsibility for the success of the Venue's Food and Beverage operations, including Café, Espresso and Functions.

Reporting to the Venue Manager and working closely with the Venue Coordinator, your primary role is to ensure outstanding service is provided within the food & beverage operations.

In this hands-on role, you will excel with your leadership & customer centricity focus:

  • Experience in managing a team of approx. 20+ staff members
  • Ability to mentor food and beverage staff
  • In touch with consumer demands within the food and beverage markets (create seasonal menu options)
  • Strong leadership skills and passion to deliver superior service standards
  • An engaging personality and ability to maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to meet and exceed delivery expectations
  • Strong work ethic
  • Loves to have fun in an engaging environment

You will ensure compliance with all legislation and always achieves outstanding results in health and safety inspections. You will be responsible for the management of all HACCP procedures and regularly reviewing suppliers and services with the Venue Manager and Coordinator to ensure best price, quality and service.

Community Coach (casual)

About the role

Primarily, the position will implement the Netball SA Sporting Schools program and provide opportunities for every young person to participate in and progress through the Netball Australia player pathway. The Community Netball Coach will be providing many children with their first experience of netball at the Adelaide Thunderbirds School Holiday Clinics and other junior netball programs. The position will provide quality introductory netball programs for junior players within South Australia which emphasise skill development and active participation in a safe and enjoyable environment.

 

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Minimum current Netball Australia Foundation Coach Accreditation or higher
  • Current member of Netball SA
  • Working with Children Check (DHS)
  • Child-Related Employment Screening (DCSI)
  • Current Catholic Clearance
  • Responding to Abuse and Neglect online course
  • Current drivers’ licence and vehicle
  • Be available for school hours work
  • Outstanding organisational skills, excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

Venue Assistant (casual)

Must be available weeknights and weekends

 

About the role

This role is responsible for amazing Customer Service, Venue operations and food and Beverage Services at the Netball SA Stadium.  This role is vital in creating a safe, friendly and professional environment for people to play and watch netball.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Exceptional Customer service
  • Food and beverage preparation including making coffee
  • Service of Food and beverage in Café and during events
  • Point of sale operations
  • Operational management of Season passes and ticket box operations
  • Stock replenishment
  • Practice safe food handling and storage
  • Cleaning as required
  • Set up the venue for functions and events

 

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or similar organisation
  • Barista experience
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Capable of working under pressure in a dynamic workplace
  • Capable in cash handling, EFTPOS and use of Point of Sales to complete customers’ orders
  • Food Safety Level 1
  • Manual Handling Certificate
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (Desirable)
  • Working with Children Check (DHS)

Academy Vacant Positions

Netball SA established the academy program throughout South Australia for talent identified players, coaches and umpires to help them reach their potential.

We are run nine netball academies, including eight regional academies and one metropolitan academy. The program aims to decentralise the delivery of developmental and high-performance programs to South Australian member associations and to develop links between the regions, Netball SA and the South Australian Sports Institute.

The main program runs from February to October of each year, involving players, coaches and umpires with a minimum 40 hours contact during this time. Trials for the academy programs commence in February of each year and are facilitated by each academy.
