2024 State Team Information

The following information is important for all players and families to ensure understanding of process and requirements to be part of the 2024 Netball SA State Team Program. Please ensure you read all information below prior to registering to trial.

State Team Selection Panel 2024 Expression of Interest

Netball SA is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified people to assist with the selection of Underage State Teams.

A register of Selectors will be developed then, based on availability, experience and qualifications will be appointed to various selection panels. Further details will be provided to successful Selectors.

Fees

Trial fee of $25.51 when registering

Program fees will be set once the location of National Championships is advised by Netball Australia as this will have a bearing on flights, accommodation etc.

As a guide the program fee could be between $1500.00 - $2,000.00 + uniform costs.

Registration

Registrations are now closed.

Age requirements

17U players must be 14yrs old prior to the competition and cannot turn 18yrs old in the year of the competition.

19U players must be between the age of 14-19yrs and cannot not turn 20yrs old in the year of the competition.

Players between the age of 14-17yrs will firstly be considered for the 17U State Team.

Further information regarding your attendance at trials will be sent prior to the trial date which will outline times for arrival, what to wear etc.

Commitment

To trial for a Netball SA State Team, you are required to attend ALL trials as advised.

Adelaide Thunderbirds Talent Academy 2023 Emerging Squad and players who were in the 2023 17U State Team are required to register to trial as per the link but will not be required at the first trial date but will need to attend the next two as listed. All other players including the Adelaide Thunderbirds Talent Academy Development Squads are required to register and attend all trials.

19U players registering for trials, will need to attend both trial dates as listed.

If you are selected to a Netball SA State Team/Squad, you are required to attend ALL trainings as advised

*While every endeavour is made to keep dates and times as listed, they are subject to change. All training may not be required once dates of the Championships are advised by Netball Australia.

Travel and Accommodation

Players selected into a State Team are required to travel with the team on flights as advised by Netball SA.

Parents, family, friends etc are asked to travel on a different flight to the teams.

Players must stay in team accommodation.

Parents, family, friends are asked to ensure they do not book same accommodation as teams.
