Growing the game for all

The Marie Little Shield is an annual tournament that provides women with an intellectual disability with the chance to compete at a national level. The competition is named in honour of disability netball pioneer, Marie Little OAM.

In an outstanding performance, South Australia’s Rubies brought home gold in the 2019 competition in Brisbane and have since went on to claim bronze in both 2022 and 2023.

The teams successes is a testament to the ongoing support and commitment demonstrated by the Adelaide Metropolitan Netball Division, C6 competition and all the clubs involved.
