Netball SA and the Adelaide Thunderbirds are pleased to announce a historic partnership with Loreto College Marryatville.
The two-year partnership marks a first for private girls’ schools in South Australia and will provide students the unique opportunity to experience an elite high-performance environment.
Students will have access to a range of activities including specialist coaching, a netball clinic facilitated by Thunderbirds athletes, coaching and training resources, and tickets to the reigning premiers’ 2025 home games.
The College’s coaches will also have the chance to participate in a premium coaching workshop at a Thunderbirds match to develop their skills and hear from the world’s best netball coaches within an inner sanctum environment.
Netball SA and Adelaide Thunderbirds CEO Bronwyn Klei said the partnership centered around a shared commitment to the growth of women’s sport, physical activity and leadership.
“Netball is the number one sport for women and girls in South Australia and we’re proud to partner with Loreto College who share our passion for the role sport plays in any young person’s life,” Ms Klei said.
“Our Thunderbirds athletes are strong role models in our community, both on and off the court, and it’s exciting that students at Loreto will get a closer look at how these incredible women have achieved such success.
“The opportunities this partnership also creates for the College’s coaches to develop is immense as they gain access to specialist coaches and exclusive development experiences.
“We look forward to working closely with the College and maybe even identifying a couple of future Thunderbirds in their midst.”
Loreto College Marryatville’s Principal Kylie McCullah echoed Klei’s enthusiasm for the opportunities the partnership created for young women and girls.
“At Loreto College Marryatville, sport is more than just a game—it’s a powerful platform for growth, leadership, and success,” Ms McCullah said.
“Beyond physical fitness, it plays a vital role in shaping strong, passionate, and confident girls and young women.
“With that in mind, we are thrilled to announce our corporate partnership with the Adelaide Thunderbirds.
“As the only private girls’ school in South Australia to be awarded this prestigious opportunity, we look forward to a partnership that will enrich our students' sporting experiences.”
