It’s been a big year for young defender Jessie Grenvold, who has now been named both the Dr Jones and Partners Most Valuable Player and Dr Jones and Partners Players’ Player for the Southern Force 2022 side.
Grenvold starred in the side’s Championship win at the Australian Netball Championships in Traralgon in August, earning her both Awards.
She produced consistent performances across the tournament and excelled in match 3 against the Sunshine Coast Lightning as she recorded 9 gains, 6 intercepts and 10 deflections.
The Contax Netball Club defender was recognised at the 2022 Netball SA Awards Gala, where she was also selected in the Premier League Team of the Year as the Reserve Defender.
Grenvold was also acknowledged at the Gala for receiving the Spirit of Ivy Award when she represented South Australia in the U19 side at the National Netball Championships in April.
