Emerging goalers Maggie Kerr and Kayla Graham have been named joint recipients of the 2022 Rookie of the Year for The Hospital Research Foundation Group Premier League.
Kerr stepped up into the Premier League side for South Adelaide Netball Club in 2022 after taking out the MVP Award in the Reserves competition in 2021.
The goal shooter was a key part of South’s success in 2022 as the side reached its first finals series in the Premier League division in club history.
Graham made a name for herself in Contax Netball Club’s goal circle, providing a dynamic option for the Blues.
In pre-season, she was also named Most Valuable Player for the U19 division as she represented South Australia at the National Netball Championships.
The duo were presented with their awards at the 2022 Netball SA Awards Gala.
