Three regional South Australian clubs have been named the 2025 finalists for the Woolworths NetSetGo Centre of the Year Award.
Central Risdon Netball Club, Loxton North Netball Club and Port Lincoln Netball Club were all selected for their commitment to delivering the best possible NetSetGo program for their communities.
The winner will be announced at Netball SA’s Awards Gala on Friday, September 5.

Central Risdon Netball Club’s dedication to their NetSetGo program has allowed the club to almost double their participation numbers since it was first introduced in 2017.
Over the years, they have not only grown their numbers across the NetSetGo program but have improved player retention, moving from 40% to 65% in 2025.
The club’s program is split into the three groups, Net, Set and Go, with Net and Set participants training once a week, and Go participants taking part in a a modified program against other clubs in the Port Pirie Netball Association.
The program is tailored to the individual needs of participants to cater for each child’s development level, in order to foster individual learning within a team setting.
A key focus of the program is not just developing netball skills, but also building social connections and community spirit through a series of social events.
Their nomination described the club’s ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of the NetSetGo curriculum along with great communication and a welcoming environment for all.
Loxton North Netball Club entered its third year with a dedicated NetSetGo program in 2025, doubling its participation numbers along the way.
With a focus on developing a welcoming program, the growth is a testament to the club’s ability to create an inclusive and community-driven environment.
Each session is led by the club’s dedicated volunteers, including players from their U15 and U17 sides, club veterans, and A squad members - all working together to help the next generation learn and enjoy netball.
Every child is encouraged to participate, learn, and enjoy the game at their own pace, with a strong focus on effort, attitude, listening, and a willingness to improve - all while making sure fun remains at the heart of every session.
Port Lincoln Netball Association was selected for its NetSetGo program that has grown to a strong 117 participants.
The program is run by the club’s dedicated leaders who spend time each week organising the activities and equipment required to provide the most positive and encouraging program to assist in the development of each participant.
Each division of NetSetGo has a tailored approach to suit the age group, including a modified match-play activity for its Go program.
This is also an opportunity for the club’s young umpires to gain confidence in a more relaxed environment.
Port Lincoln has worked hard to ensure their program is inclusive for all, including neurodivergent needs, as well as all genders and cultures.
