The Adelaide Thunderbirds Members have chosen Shamera Sterling as their Flight Centre Members’ Player of the 2022 season.
Sterling produced another impressive season in the pink, finishing on an incredible 1177.5 net points - ranked third in the league.
The fan favourite topped the league for intercepts with 52 - 16 more than the second-highest ranked player - to go with 67 deflections and 37 rebounds.
The award marks Sterling’s third for 2022, after she was crowned Subway Club Champion and Players’ Player at the Adelaide Thunderbirds Awards Night in June.
On the same night, captain Hannah Petty was also recognised as the winner of the Spirit Award for representing the club’s values.
Unable to attend the Awards Gala due to international netball duties with Jamaica, Sterling accepted her Members’ Player Award via video message, thanking the Pink Army for their unwavering support.
