Di Miles is among the five 2025 Life Member inductees being honoured for their outstanding service and lasting contribution to our sport across South Australia.
Di has been an integral part of Matrics Netball Club since 1985, contributing across an extraordinary range of roles. She is a selfless, innovative, and inspirational volunteer whose dedication has shaped generations of players, officials, and leaders.
Over the years she has played, coached, umpired, served as Umpire Coordinator, and managed the Matrics Premier League team. As well as this contribution, her commitment extends well beyond the court. As a long-standing and active committee member, Di has served as both Secretary and Treasurer for 40 consecutive years, roles she still fulfils today.
Beyond the Matrics Netball club, Di has demonstrated her leadership and passion for netball at the association level, serving as President of both the Adelaide Metropolitan Netball Division and City Night Division committees over the years. Her influence has strengthened not only Matrics but the broader South Australian netball community.
Di brings energy, compassion, and unwavering dedication to every role she undertakes. She embodies leadership, generosity, and community spirit, inspiring all those around her. Remarkably, in her 40 years of continuous service, Di has never taken a year off, consistently going above and beyond to support and grow the sport she loves.
Di Miles is a truly exceptional volunteer whose legacy and impact are immeasurable.
Di was presented with her Life Membership at Netball SA's 2025 AGM on Thursday, April 30th.
