On Wednesday, Netball SA announced it was recommending its associations postpone their regular winter seasons until May 31 in response to the outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
Following on from that announcement, Netball SA has made several decisions around its upcoming events, programs and competitions.
In particular, the Premier League pre-season tournament set for April 4th has been cancelled to ensure the wellbeing of the players, staff and community members expected to attend.
The event was projected to involve more than 100 people inside Priceline Stadium, exceeding government guidelines on non-essential mass gatherings.
At this stage, trainings will continue with increased hygiene practices in place, while Netball SA works with Netball Australia on confirming a start date for the season.
The Southern Force will also continue training as usual, unless otherwise advised by Netball Australia.
