Netball SA has selected the 23 athletes who will partake in the Aboriginal Netball Academy (ANA) for 2021.
In addition, Danielle Johnson will return in her role as head coach alongside Christine Glenn as assistant coach.
Students will attend ANA at St Claire Recreation Centre every Thursday for the duration of the school year to develop their skills with the help of specialised coaches.
Students will participate in match play against several local schools, including St Mary’s College and Henley High School, and will have the opportunity to complete a Beginner Umpire Workshop and gain their Foundation Coaching Accreditation.
The ANA has also been invited to compete in the NSA Academy Games in September and will gain valuable experience competing at the higher level.
Building the students’ confidence in their netball abilities will hopefully encourage eligible students to trial for the 2022 State Teams.
