No extra time will be added for an injury stoppage; however, the injured/ill player should still ask the umpire to hold play so they can be safely removed from the game. That position can either be left vacant or replaced straight away prior to play recommencing. In the event of a SERIOUS INJURY umpires will stop the game until the player can safely leave the court. If player cannot be moved umpires will take the game to another court where possible.
Don’t compete if you are feeling unwell, particularly if you have a fever or are experiencing chest pain or dizziness. The most useful first aid management of any acute injury is to initiate “RICER”, which aims to reduce bleeding, swelling, and assists with pain relief: Rest – stop all activity, Ice – 15 - 20minutes every 2 hours if possible for 48 hours, Compression, Elevation and Referral – to a doctor/physiotherapist if injury shows no sign of improvement or if pain is severe.
Along with “RICER”, it is important to do no “HARM” in the first 48 hours: No Heat – no hot baths, heat rubs, spas, hot water bottles. No Alcohol – for the first 48 - 72 hours as it increases swelling. No Running – stop all vigorous activity and No Massage – for the first 48 - 72 hours.
If you have an injured player, spectator or official with any potentially serious injury such as; head and/or neck trauma, chest pain, asthma, respiratory illness, back injury, suspected fracture or a serious knee injury, please do not move the injured person. Contact the First Aid Room (either by phone or runner) and the Sports Trainer will attend to the individual at the site of the injury.
Matches will be centrally timed and will start and finish on the umpire’s whistle. The first named team is to take the first centre pass, the other team is to choose goal end. All matches will consist of two (2) x fifteen (15) minute halves, with a three (3) minute interval during which teams change ends.
Each court has an undercover bench, which will be used as the Official Bench.
In extreme weather conditions, the decision to abandon matches must be made by the Organising Committee. The complete round for any affected grades will be abandoned including indoor games.

Both teams must provide a scorer for each match. Scorers must be near each other, in line with the centre circle, and frequently compare scores to prevent any discrepancies. The white score card is for the Home Team and is the official score, the green score card is for the Away Team and is the check score. Both cards must be filled in for each match, including any interchanges/subs made. All score cards must be returned to the Duty Room IMMEDIATELY after each game.
The Duty Room must be notified of any changes to team lists at any time during the competition. Players from a lower grade/s registered list/s may be added to a higher grade, but they cannot return to the lower grade. A maximum of 12 players per team may be registered.

Umpires for the Championships shall umpire their own association on Saturday while umpires for Sunday are allocated by a neutral grid system for all grades (except for 11 & U on Sunday, they will be umpired by their own umpire). If your team is participating in the quarter finals, semi finals or grand finals your umpire is required to be available for all the above-mentioned matches.
