Andrea’s decision to resign is for personal reasons and to have the flexibility to support her husband’s business, which includes significant periods of travel.
Whilst we encouraged her to reconsider this decision, we do know the timing is right for Andrea to take on this next phase of her life.
Andrea is part of Netball SA’s DNA and her expertise, passion and willingness to go above and beyond to support our members will be missed.
“The people make an organisation and I have been lucky enough to work alongside some of the best during my time at Netball SA, including past and present staff but especially our amazing volunteers that make our sport so great. I look forward to seeing how netball grows into the future and of course watch the Adelaide Thunderbirds win this year,” Andrea said.
In true style, Andrea has been extremely generous with her departure date and she will finish with the organisation at the end April.
We understand the utmost importance of this role to our members and there is a detailed transition plan in place to ensure knowledge transfer from Andrea into the business.
We collectively agree that the most important outcome as part of this process is that our members are more than adequately supported.
With a recent restructure this role will now be renamed Stakeholder Relations Coordinator and applications are now open for this position. Click here to view.
We thank Andrea for all her efforts during her time here and wish her well for the future. Andrea will be missed by everyone at Netball SA, including staff, the Board, our Life Members and wider Netball SA members.
