School State Championships 

The Netball South Australia School Championships held at Netball SA Stadium will attract Government, Catholic & Independent schools across the state.
Teams will play in a round robin format across the first day, before finals commencing on the second

The event provides a competitive opportunity for students from all school sectors, with a focus on participation, skill development and enjoyment of the game. The championships are designed to create a fun, inclusive and supportive environment where students can build confidence, develop their abilities and experience the excitement of representing their school.

Team nominations are now open and are $150 per team. This covers facility hire, all competition administration, insurance and on-site first aid.

Teams must be submitted via PlayHQ by 5:30pm June 30, 2026

Team nomination fees are $150 per team, which covers facility hire, all competition administration, insurance and on-site first aid.

A teacher, or a sport coordinator employed by the school may nominate a team for the Netball SA School State Championships.

Once you have nominated your teams, you will receive an email from Netball SA with a registration link. Each player, and umpire is required to complete this form, it is recommended that your coach also completes this form. 

For our inaugural competition year, schools are permitted to submit one team per age group. If any opportunities arise for additional teams, schools will be contacted. 

Your school will be placed in the relevant grade/year level. Teams will only be split into divisions if there are enough teams registered; schools will be contacted once the team nominations are finalised. 

There is no recommended ratio in this age group. Mixed netball team guidelines commence from 13+ years.

The maximum number is 12 players nominated for a team.

School teams will need to supply their own bibs and a netball (Netball SA will not bring spares). Umpires will need to bring their own whistle (Netball SA will not bring spare whistles).
