The Woolworths SA Rubies side have done their state proud, brining home a bronze medal following the return of the Marie Little Shield.
The tournament, which provides women with an intellectual disability with the chance to compete at a national level, had not gone ahead since 2019 due to the pandemic.
In 2022, Woolworths partnered with the Rubies as the premier sponsor, supporting the side in their return to court.
“We are proud to help support the Rubies who have shown great resilience through challenging times,” Woolworths Sponsorship Manager Trent Sullivan said.
“As the Rubies premier sponsor we were thrilled to see their successes at the Marie Little Shield.”
Ahead of the tournament, Rubies captain Isabella Ivancic-Holland spoke to ABC News about the importance of ensuring inclusivity in sport and the opportunities netball has created for her and her teammates.
