Round 11 of the Netball SA Premier League will go ahead this Friday night under a range of new guidelines set to help ensure the safety of the community.
The following will apply for this Friday, July 2:
- Venue capacity at Netball SA Stadium has been reduced to 75 per cent, meaning the following court allocations now apply:
- Court 1: 1,500
- Court 2: 82
- Court 3: 82
- Court 4: 72
- Players and team officials are required to wear masks at all times except when on the field of play (team officials includes Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Team Manager, Physio/Primary Carer)
- Club media must wear a mask at all times, even when seated and on court.
- Umpires will now be required to warm up in the run off of courts before each game. They will not impose on teams warming up however please be aware of them.
- Players required to warm up while the game is in play must wear a mask if warming up off court (i.e. in the hallways or walkways).
- Spectators are required to wear masks at all times – this includes when seated.
- All patrons are to be seated when consuming food and/or beverages. A mask is not required when eating or drinking but must be worn as soon as finished eating or drinking.
- As per previously, the Adelaide Thunderbirds Lounge located in changerooms 1, 2 and 3 is strictly off limits. Please be mindful that the Adelaide Thunderbirds are now adhering to strict SSN restrictions around clean zones, which includes their changeroom and lounge, however we have an exemption to use the changerooms for Premier League.
Netball SA asks that clubs ensure their communities are aware of the new requirements around masks at Netball SA Stadium and thank everyone for their cooperation to ensure netball can continue in South Australia.
As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve here in SA, Netball SA is preparing for further guidelines from SA Health following today's announcement of five new cases and will update the netball community as soon as new information arises.
