The Adelaide Thunderbirds Futures side will bring home the bronze model after defeated the West Coast Fever Reserves at the Australian Netball Championships on Sunday, August 27.
The Futures went undefeated in the minor rounds, taking four strong wins into the semi-finals on Saturday.
They kicked off their campaign with a 16 goal win over the Sunshine Coast Lightning in Game 1, finishing 57-41.
Game 2 was another dominant display as they defeated the Capital Darters by an immense 43 goals to finish 78-35.
Game 3 was a tighter affair, however the Futures finished strong to take the game 58-49 over the Collingwood Magpies.
Their final match of the rounds was against the Giants Academy, in which they won 52-41 to head into the finals as strong contenders for the trophy.
They met the NSW Swifts Academy in the semi-final on Saturday, August 26. The pressure was high on both sides and it was close for the majority of the match, until the Swifts pulled away in the final term to win by 7 goals.
The Futures side therefore met the West Coast Fever Reserves in the bronze medal match in the final day of the tournament and came out strong in the opening half.
They led by 2 at quarter time and extended their lead to 10 at the main break - 36-26 - after a dominant second quarter.
They continued their strong form into the second half and finished the match victorious by 12 goals, taking out the bronze medal 69 to 57.
