Netball SA staff have commenced an exciting program to help build their leadership capabilities to ensure a lasting impact for netball in South Australia.
Earlier this year, Netball SA were among the proud grant recipients within the Sport Australia Women in Leaders Sport Program.
The grants were award to just 13 organisations across the country who demonstrated their commitment to building female leaders and creating more inclusive work cultures.
Netball SA engaged Team and Organisational Brand Intelligence (TOBI) for a customised delivery of their Visible Leadership and Lasting Impact program.
Key outcomes of the program include developing leadership skills, aligning Netball SA values with positive role models, illuminating the leadership pathway, and creating a positive and inclusive workplace.
A passionate advocate for women in leadership, Netball SA CEO Bronwyn Klei says the program will help empower netball’s leaders to further develop their brand and strong voice for our sport.
“As the number one sport for women and girls in South Australia we must ensure netball is using its leadership position to its full potential to benefit our sport and the communities it represents,” Klei said.
“We are fortunate to have an incredibly talented team at all levels of Netball SA. If we can further develop our leadership capabilities, we can ensure our contributions have a lasting impact on our sport.”
The 13 Netball SA participants in the program include the executive and management teams as well as several other staff across the organisation.
Participation in the program also extends to the Adelaide Thunderbirds high performance environment, with 2021 club captain Hannah Petty among those involved.
The program, which kicked off this month, includes a series of four all-in workshops supported by a buddy program.
The course culminates with groups championing key initiatives that help ensure the lasting impact of their leadership contributions to Netball SA.
