South Australian young netballer Chloe Peacock has been nominated for a 2023 School Sports Award on the back of a successful year in the sport.
The 15-year-old from Kalangadoo in the state’s south-east has been nominated in the individual secondary section.
Peacock is a member of Netball SA's 2023 Adelaide Thunderbirds Talent Academy, identified among the best SA netballers in the 14-16 age group.
In August this year, she represented the South Australian U15 team at the School Sport Australia Netball Championships in Perth.
Following the tournament, she was selected in the All Australian U15 team as one of the best 12 players in the championships.
At local level, Peacock played in both an U15 and A grade premiership with the Kalangadoo Netball Club in 2023 and was named best on court in the U15 grand final.
Furthermore, she was recognised as the best under 21 player in the Mid-South Eastern Netball Association (MSENA) at their awards night.
The winner of the individual secondary section will be announced alongside the other three categories at the school sports awards function on Wednesday November 23.
