South Australia's 17U and 19U representative sides have done the state proud at 2022 event in Hobart, both finishing in the top 4 for each division.
The 19U side took home silver medals after falling short to New South Wales in the Grand Final match, while the 17U side finished fourth after going down to Tasmania in the battle for bronze.
Two SA stars shined above the rest across the week-long competition, with Tabitha Packer named joint-MVP in the 17U division and Kayla Graham was named sole MVP on the 19U division.
After two years without the event due to COVID-19, Netball SA Product and Pathways Manager Roz Fraser said she was proud to see the red dresses back on court.
"We've had a challenging couple of years with the disruption of COVID-19 and had many disappointed athletes and staff as the event was cancelled twice, so it meant a lot to all of us to be finally back on court," Ms Fraser said.
"We were all very proud of our athletes' efforts and it was great to have both sides in medal contention at the end of the week."
Ms Fraser said the achievements of Packer and Graham were particularly significant given the calibre of players at this year's competition.
"We were impressed by Tabitha and Kayla's performances across the week - they both stood out against top competitors and we're so proud to see them acknowledged with their MVP achievements," Ms Fraser said.
"They are certainly stars on the rise and we look forward to seeing them both continue to progress through the Netball SA Pathway to achieving their netball dreams."
At the end of the week, the inaugural Spirit of Ivy Award was presented to 19U athlete Jessie Grenvold, in honour of the late Ivy-Rose Hughes.
Ms Fraser said it was an honour to present the award and take the time to acknowledge Hughes' contribution to netball in South Australia.
"Ivy-Rose's impact has been felt across our entire community and we were very proud to present this award with support from Ivy's mother Paula," Ms Fraser said.
"This is just one way we can remember Ivy and pay respect to everything she and her mother Paula have done for our sport.
"Jessie was a very deserving winner and we know it meant a lot to her to win the award."
