The Newton Jaguars have locked in two of their key athletes for 2023, announcing emerging star Sienna Burns and 2022 joint club captain Brooke McDonnell have signed on.
Burns is a key retention for the Jaguars after the teenager took significant strides in her netball journey in 2022.
In April, she represented South Australia in the 17U State Team who finished fourth at the National Netball Championships.
She has been developed through the club’s Junior Talent ID program and from Nationals was selected in the 17U Australian side.
She also starred in the club’s Reserves side and is expected to play a key role in the club’s success in 2023.

The club were also quick to lock in McDonnell, keen to retain the extensive experience and leadership she brings to the young side.
Looking to continue her role as captain and mentor again in 2023, she sets the tone for the group with her loyalty, work ethic and commitment.
A versatile midcourter, McDonnell leads by example through the middle of the court for her team and brings strong netball smarts to the side.
All eight Premier League clubs will announce two marquee signings over the coming weeks, followed by the announcement of their initial squad of 12 in December.
