Netball SA and the Adelaide Thunderbirds are proud to announce The Hospital Research Foundation (THRF) Group as the organisation’s principal charity partner for 2022.
The partnership marks a significant collaboration between two of South Australia’s key organisations in the promotion of health care and health literacy across our state and will support netball from grassroots through to the elite.
THRF Group Chief Operating Officer, Briony Marshall, said the organisation was immensely proud to be partnering with Netball SA and the Thunderbirds when it comes to fighting disease and illness for all South Australians.
“From grassroots level to the elite, these cherished sporting organisations promote positivity and inclusivity, bringing families and friends together,” Ms Marshall said.
“The synergies this has with the Hospital Research Foundation Group’s mission makes Netball SA and the Thunderbirds the perfect partners to help drive positive health and wellbeing messages and join the fight against disease and illness.
“Everyone knows someone who has been touched by serious disease or illness, whether its themselves, family or close friends.
“We look forward to standing with these talented and passionate individuals, who lead healthy and active lives, to help spread the message about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and empower South Australians. Together we are stronger.”
Netball SA Chief Executive Officer, Bronwyn Klei, said the business was honoured to partner with an organisation that has been committed to fighting for health of South Australians for more than 60 years.
“THRF Group is South Australia’s largest non-government supporter of world-leading medical research, better treatments, services, clinical trials and life-saving equipment that improves the lives of patients and their families,” Ms Klei said.
“As the leading sport for women and girls in South Australia, we share THRF Group’s philosophy in promoting health and wellbeing for our players and athletes.
“This partnership will see THRF become the naming rights partner to our Premier League competition and facilitate a series of mental health workshops across metro and regional netball clinics in South Australia.
“With activations and events throughout the year, we aim to jointly spread the message about healthy living and prioritising physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.
