Netball SA and the Adelaide Thunderbirds are proud to announce a new chapter in our previously successful partnership with Mazda, supporting netball from grassroots through to the elite for a further two years.
The two organisations, who held a partnership from 2016 to 2019, will reunite for 2022 and 2023, aligned in an effort to propel netball in South Australia forward, reengaging our communities in the sport we love as we emerge from the disruption caused by the pandemic.
As Netball SA and the Thunderbirds official automotive partner, Mazda will feature on the Thunderbirds dress, launch a community grants program, and pilot a regional tour program in SA.
Netball SA CEO Bronwyn Klei said the partnership was underpinned by two like-minded organisations wishing to make a difference.
“We’ve worked with Mazda in the past in what was an incredibly fruitful partnership for our sport and we’re proud to be reunited with them,” Ms Klei said.
“Mazda shares our passion for women’s support and growing our game at all levels, particularly following the impacts COVID-19 has had on our community across the state.”
Mazda State Manager for South Australia Bill Pattison said partnering with a state-wide organisation like Netball SA is a privilege, enabling Mazda to more broadly support the communities in which it operates.
“By supporting netball from grassroots, right up to the elite level, Mazda hopes to enhance the great work of Netball SA, engaging our young people in a sport and community group that’s so important in developing skills, confidence and healthy habits,” Pattison said.
“We’re looking forward to a busy 2022 with Netball SA and wish the Thunderbirds all the best for the season ahead.”
