Starting from the 2022 winter season and beyond, Netball SA will be hitting the road, visiting regional South Australia with an all-encompassing program of physical and wellbeing activities to support local communities in growing the game of netball.
In its inaugural year, the Netball SA team will be visiting four regions including the South East, Murraylands, Lower North and the Eyre Peninsula to run five-day programs which will feature a mix of coaching clinics, wellbeing seminars, netball association member events and community activities.
The aim of the program is to visit a range of South Australian regions for years to come, with sessions to be led by Netball SA staff, coaches and industry experts.
Netball SA CEO Bronwyn Klei said the business was eager to deepen its connection and support of netball communities all across the state.
“We know netball plays such a crucial role in our regions and we look forward to building stronger relationships and bringing meaningful assistance to our country associations to grow our sport," Ms Klei said.
“Netball on the Road will provide a vehicle for development in order to better equip South Australian regions to drive participation, through school visits, clinics, umpire and coaching sessions, governance training and mental health seminars.”
The program will launch on June 18 in the South East, and further information can be found at netballsa.asn.au
