League’s leading goal scorer crowned 2026 MVP
Shooting star Asha Thurlow has taken out the most coveted award of the night, crowned the 2026 Hospital Research Foundation Group Premier League Most Valuable Player.
The experienced goal shooter was the leading goal scorer this season with an impressive 697 goals at 91 per cent accuracy.
She played all 14 games and three finals for Oakdale, providing a crucial target for her side.
This marks the third MVP win for Thurlow, having first won the award in 2019 for the Metro Jets and again in 2024 as a joint winner for Oakdale.
Contax goaler Jordi Vidmar was runner up following a stellar season with the Blues and experienced goal attack Jess Paradiso came in third after shining for Walkerville in their debut Premier League season.
Defensive star takes out Reserves MVP
Defensive dynamo Ava Zadow has been named the 2026 Most Valuable Player for the reserves division on the back of a stand-out season for Matrics.
The goal keeper shined in the Stars defensive unit, recording an incredible 76 intercepts, 42 rebounds, and 23 deflections in her debut season.
She was impressive in the side’s grand final appearance, causing headaches for the Contax’s attack line.
The runner up was Norwood midcourter Kiara Burns who starred for her side in 2026, while shooter Amy Bull from Oakdale finished in third.
