Contax Netball Club has invested in a star of the future, re-signing rising defender and promising mother-daughter prospect Jazmin McKay for 2025.
The reigning champions of the 2024 Hospital Research Foundation Group Premier League have locked in the GK/GD as they look to secure their third-consecutive premiership.
McKay is the daughter of Adelaide Thunderbird #2 and Diamond #113 Sarah Sutter, who also played as a defender in her illustrious career consisting of gold medals at both the Netball World Cup and Commonwealth Games.
After dominating in the Reserves division for the opening rounds, McKay made her League debut in Round 7 at just 16 years of age.
She went on to play six more games in League, including an impressive performance in the side’s Grand Final victory.
Despite playing just 11 games in Reserves, she also finished fifth in the Most Valuable Player count.
The lockdown defender represented South Australia at the 2024 National Netball Championships in April, winning gold with the 17U State Team.
Her performances on court throughout the tournament earned her a selection in the 2024 Australian 17U pathway squad.
