Following today’s state government announcement, we are pleased to have confirmation that community sport is set to return as planned on Tuesday 1 December.
Sport fixtures and training, both indoor and outdoor, will be able to resume from this date provided they meet all government guidelines.
As per today’s update, please note from 12:01am on 1 December for the next 2 weeks:
- 1 person per 2sqm applies outdoors
- 1 person per 4sqm applies indoors
- COVID-Safe Check-In is mandatory for all venues and activities which require a COVID Safe Plan
- No cap on patrons for venues provided they have a COVID Safe Check-In
- Private functions on licensed premises are capped at 150 people (stand up consumption permitted)
The government has advised that they will continue to work with sporting bodies to help support the return of community sport. We will continue to communicate any new information about how this relates to netball as it comes to light.
We are currently working through what these guidelines mean for competitions held at our stadium and will provide a further update as soon as possible.
As the government have said, the next couple of weeks will be crucial in ensuring we contain the virus, so while restrictions ease it is still essential that we continue to act on health advice to help keep South Australia safe and strong.
Remember to practice good hygiene, maintain social distancing and monitor any symptoms that could be linked to COVID-19.
