Over 1000 of South Australia’s best country netballers descended on Netball SA Stadium over the June long weekend for the 2021 Country Championships.
With 101 teams competing from 26 associations across SA, 526 matches were played over the three days.
For the first time in the competition’s history, games were live streamed thanks to Netball SA’s partnership with The Advertiser.
101 matches across four courts were live streamed, giving access to families and supporters who were unable to travel to the event.

Competition kicked off on Saturday, June 12 and marked the first time Under 11s were a part of the Championships since its establishment in 1936.
On Saturday night, 2019 Senior A grade grand finalists Western Border and Port Lincoln faced off at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre as the curtain raiser match for the Adelaide Thunderbirds.
Senior finals took place on Sunday, with Western Border defending its 2019 title with a win over Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara in the Senior A grade.
Port Lincoln were victorious in the Senior B grade, defeating Barossa, Light and Gawler in the grand final.
The junior finals took place on Monday, with teams battling it out for the titles in the 17 and Under, 15 and Under and 13 and Under age groups. Grand finalists below:

With 24 coaches and 40 umpires also mentored during the event, congratulations go to the umpires who received their B and C badges over the weekend.
