The Contax Netball Club have locked in two of South Australia’s rising talents for 2023, re-signing defender Jessie Grenvold and shooter Kayla Graham.
Grenvold experienced a breakout season in 2022 in The Hospital Research Foundation Group Premier League and at both state and national levels.
In April, she was a member of the 19U State Team who won Silver and was awarded the inaugural Spirit of Ivy Award, in memory of the late Ivy-Rose Hughes.
Post the Premier League season, she was also selected in SA’s Southern Force side who won gold at the Australian Netball Championships in August and was named in the 21U National Australian Squad.
At Netball SA’s Awards Gala in October, she was named the MVP and Players’ Player Award winner for Southern Force in 2022.
Graham also experienced a breakout year this season after making her debut in Contax’s Premier League side and shining at goal attack.
Ahead of the Premier League season, she represented South Australia in the 19U State Team and was named MVP of the tournament across all state teams for the 19U division.
At Netball SA’s Awards Gala in October, she was named the joint 2022 The Hospital Research Foundation Group Premier League Rookie of the Year.
Graham also won the Natalie von Bertouch Best Emerging Talent Award for Contax in 2022, an award won by Jessie Grenvold in 2021.
All eight Premier League clubs will announce two marquee signings throughout November and December, followed by the announcement of their initial squad of 12 in late December.
