South Australian netballers participating in an upcoming winter season will receive a 50% reduction in their fees for 2020.
The Netball SA Board has approved the reduction to recognise the shortened and disrupted season caused by the COVID-19 restrictions.
“The netball community has been hit hard by this pandemic which struck just as we were all getting ready for our normal winter season,” Netball SA CEO Bronwyn Klei said. “It threw everything into disarray.”
“We are hopeful that by reducing fees and the government’s easing of restrictions will see more and more netballers get back on court, playing the game we all love. I know we’ve got tens of thousands of players who are just desperate to get back out there!
“Netball plays such an important role in our community and getting back out there will be big step in SA’s recovery following the COVID-19 outbreak.”
Netball SA's associations will communicate with its clubs about what this means for each individual association.
Further information will follow for NetSetGO and also fees relating to Divisions (AMND).
