Currently umpiring in the Netball SA Premier League, Justin was tested at the week-long underage tournament in Brisbane.
Justin is thrilled to have achieved the next level in the national umpire accreditation framework, and said that the experience umpiring at the National Netball Championships exposed him to exceptionally high standards of play.
“The standard of play was phenomenal, it was of a very high standard,” he said.
“I’m obviously very excited, I was a bit relieved after the assessment was over and very happy that I was able to achieve the requirements to obtain my National A Badge.
“I received coaching from leading Netball Australia umpires which was fantastic, they shared so much knowledge which allowed me to refine my skills during the championships.”
Lizzie Bermingham, Netball SA General Manager – Netball, said that the result is a huge coup of the organisation.
“Netball SA are really excited about Justin’s achievement and strongly support his progress through the National Umpire Pathway,” she said.
“It is a very proud moment for Netball SA and we hope more of our umpires achieve their A Badge as the season progresses.
“Justin is actively involved in our umpire development programs and this is a great reward for his dedication.”
