Updating Your Accreditation
Updating your accreditation just got easier!
Coaches and Umpires can now update their accreditation online through MyNetball.
By moving to an online updating system, Netball Australia are reducing the administration for the Member Organisations and you, our learner. We’ll be able to easily see whose accreditation is up-to-date and be able to point you in the right direction for ongoing education and development opportunities.
Please note as of 30 July 2018 Netball SA will no longer be accepting Logbooks. Coaches and Umpires will need to follow the below online updating process. Conditions apply.*
The updating program aims to raise the overall quality of coaches and umpires within netball by ensuring they are provided with ongoing education and development opportunities covering areas such as:
• Keeping abreast of the latest information on developments within netball;
• Having access to the most up-to-date techniques and skills related to coaching and umpiring; and
• Rules knowledge and current interpretations.
1: Log in to MyNetball using your MyNetball ID.
2: Click on the learning tab and select online learning.
3: Click the blue button to browse available courses.
4: Click on the my accreditation updating button
5: Select your accreditation from the list.
6: Follow the on-screen instructions to review and update your accreditation.
7: Request the update. This will be automatically sent to our team to review, and we’ll send you an email once it’s confirmed.
Here’s a couple of things you’ll need to know.
How does it work?
Our accreditation updates work on a points system. So, when you’re updating your accreditation you need to make sure you’ve reached the relevant number of points within four years of gaining your current accreditation.
When can I update my accreditation?
The first opportunity you will have to update your accreditation will be six months prior to your current accreditation expiring. Just complete all your learning and visit the updating panel in MyNetball to request an update. Follow the instructions for updating in our Learner Guide here.
If you have not been able to update your accreditation by the expiry date, there is a grace period of 12 months. This means that you will still be able to update your accreditation up to 12 months after its expiry.
Do I need to have anything on hand?
When you’re updating your accreditation, it’s a good idea to have a list of any practical coaching or umpiring activities on hand. You can add this information by completing the relevant fields in step six.
I’m not sure how to update my accreditation.
That’s OK. Take a look at our Updating Criteria PDFs for Coaches and Umpires. You can view or download this by clicking the links in the Updating Criteria section below.
