The Section II Umpires’ Theory Exam is a 2 hour “test” on your theoretical knowledge of the IFNA Rule Book but more importantly how these apply to real-game scenarios. There are two different types of questions, Multiple Choice and Short Answer. This is an All Australia examination conducted twice throughout the year.
Candidates have the opportunity to select that their exam be marked by the Member Organisation (Netball SA) or by the National Body (Netball Australia). A Member Organisation marked exam is called an “Education Paper.” A National Body marked exam is called a “National Accreditation” paper.
The pass mark is 90% and is valid for six years. Successful candidates receive an exam certificate.
There are no past exam papers available. It is recommended you attend the Section II Exam Preparation Night held at Netball SA Stadium two weeks before the exam date. Please see application forms for more details.
