Second Mazda Community Netball Grant winner announced

A group of junior regional netballers have had their wish granted thanks to Mazda.

Bordertown KNT Netball Club is the second club announced as the winner of a $1000 Mazda Community Netball Grant. The club will use the money to travel to Adelaide to watch the Adelaide Thunderbirds play the Collingwood Magpies at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on 8 July.

Ann Conlon, Chairperson of Junior Development Committee at the club, said the netballers are very excited to attend a Suncorp Super Netball match.

“Because our town is based three hours south-east of Adelaide, many of our players haven’t been able to attend an Adelaide Thunderbirds game,” she said.

“So many players have already put their name down for the game.

“Going to this game will be a fantastic experience for our junior players to witness netball at this elite level.”

The Bordertown KNT Netball Club has a connection with both the T-Birds and Collingwood, with Magpies squad member and former Adelaide player Cody Lange growing up playing for the club. Cody’s sister, Jordan, is currently the club’s 15U coach.
