The July Adelaide Thunderbirds School Holiday Clinics were a huge success with all five clinics selling out in record time. Across the five clinics held at Priceline Stadium, 450 boys and girls aged five to 16 participated.
The new Specialist Clinic, for netballers aged 11-16, enabled participants to select which area of the court – attacking, midcourt or defending – they would like to focus on. A host of South Australian state coaches were on hand to pass their expertise with Lee-Anne Cummins (17U head coach), Kirsty Leonard-Down (19U head coach) and Amy Willis (17/U state development squad coach) involved in the Specialist Clinic.
Adelaide Thunderbirds players were also present at all clinics providing opportunities for participants to meet, chat and learn from them. Netball SA coaches and the Adelaide Thunderbirds Strength and Conditioning Coach and Nutritionist, also assisted in the running of the clinics.
Netball SA hosts Adelaide Thunderbirds School Holiday Clinics every school holiday period, so keep an eye on the Netball SA website for the dates of the October clinics.
