Suncorp NETSETGO FOR SCHOOLS

What is Suncorp NetSetGO?

Suncorp NetSetGO is the only National Junior Netball Program. It has been developed to provide children from five to ten years of age with the best possible learning and playing experience that enables them to develop a positive introduction to netball, ensuring enjoyment and continued participation within the sport. The weekly program incorporates skill activities, minor games and modified matches in a fun and safe environment.

As of 2015, all school Suncorp NetSetGO Centres will be able to utilise an online registration system through MyNetball, participants will also be able to register and pay online, decreasing the amount of administration work for schools. Schools will be provided with promotional items and resources prior to the start of the program. Once registrations close, schools will also receive an equipment kit to assist in the delivery of their program.

Program coordinated by your school

Teachers, parents, community or club members can coordinate your schools Suncorp NetSetGO Program. Netball SA recommends that all coaches have their Foundation Accreditation, which as of 2016 can be completed online. The cost per participant is $50, however schools can increase the cost to accommodate a paid local coach. Schools also have the flexibility of determining the duration of the program (recommended minimum of six weeks and a maximum of 13 weeks). In 2016 registered participants receive:

  • Suncorp NetSetGO T-shirt
  • Gilbert Pulse Size 4 netball
  • Adelaide Thunderbird Tattoo Sheet
  • Participation medal.
